What actually moves the price
- Model class. The 125cc automatics are the floor; comfort scooters add ₹10 an hour; gears and a Bullet badge add the rest. Pick per errand, not per ego (the fleet, compared).
- Duration slab. Slabs reward length: four hours costs ₹200, not four times ₹80, and a full day beats stringing slabs together. Longer is cheaper per hour, every time.
- Season and demand. Rate cards don't surge per customer, but monthly quotes are priced by season and fleets are finite, the August and January semester rushes empty them first. Book ahead of the rush, not inside it.
The traps that make cheap quotes expensive
A ₹600 quote that ends at ₹1,500 was never cheap. The classic mechanisms:

Hourly, daily or monthly: the decision rule
- Hourly (from ₹80) for errands, the market run, the class across campuses. Under half a day of riding, stay hourly.
- Daily (₹700) for day trips and full-day plans, one Mussoorie or Rishikesh run uses the whole slab.
